UTRGV Earns Prestigious Seal of Excelencia

Excelencia in Education, the nation’s premier authority on efforts accelerating Latino student success in higher education, announced that The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley has been recertified with the Seal of Excelencia for 2024-2027.

Originally certified in 2021, UTRGV is one of just nine institutions in the country to earn recertification in 2024.

We are so proud to have achieved recertification and remain committed to intentionally SERVE Latino and all students.
